Applying to Study with AIRS
To be eligible to enrol in an AIRS course you need to:
- meet the selection criteria for the course as specified in the AIRS Student Handbook, or on the relevant course brochure, or on this website
- be over 18 years of age as at January 1 in the year of enrolment
- submit a formal application.
All applications must include:
- a current curriculum vitae (no more than four pages)
- certified copies of relevant qualifications and transcripts
Note:
In cases where academic records are in a language other than English, applicants are required to attach an English translation of the documents certified by an accredited translator.
- two letters of validation from your employer/s and/or your workplace supervisor/s verifying your clinical experience, academic capacity, and overall preparedness for entry and success in the course you are applying for
- a current position description (if applicable)

- a completed Volunteer/Student Declaration which is available from:

Note:
It is a legislative requirement that all students on a placement where children may be involved must sign a Volunteer/Student Declaration.
It is an offence for prohibited persons to apply for or attempt to obtain, undertake or remain in child-related employment in any capacity, whether paid, volunteering or self employed.
- a completed AIRS Application Form
- payment of a non-refundable application fee.
If required, AIRS academic staff will seek external validation of your documents and/or clinical experience by contacting a relevant third party source.
Eligible applicants may also be required to attend an interview to further assess their suitability for enrolment.
An applicant is deemed to be enrolled with AIRS when s/he has:
- completed an application for admission and attended a selection interview [where required]
- accepted an offer of admission and fulfilled any conditions attached to the offer
- completed any compulsory data collection and/or special requirement information as required by government departments or agencies - for example, an AIRS Enrolment Form
- provided documentation for proof of identity - for example, a birth certificate, driver’s licence or passport
- paid their course fees.
